First trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to Sonny Acres in West Chicago to check out the pumpkins. It was almost 80 degrees!

It's official, she's walking

Yep, in a matter of a couple days, Ashley has really figured out how to walk, and she is now very interested in doing it! She still crawls, but she's walking more and more and more!

Oddly, she has also given up her second nap (one would think she would need more sleep with all this walking). So we have some exciting times ahead!

Dancing, Talking and Walking

Ashley's definitely showing more and more interest in walking. Today, I cleared the room and put the exersaucer in the middle of the room for "landings". She was so tired after walking on and off for over an hour that she took an afternoon nap (which she hasn't done in days)! I kept saying she'd be walking by Halloween and I think that'll hold true!

Apple Fest

This weekend we went to the Long Grove Apple Fest...It was overcast and cold but it sounded fun, and it was!! We came home with a lot of apples and delicious cider. The sun came out and after a little rain, it made it possible to get cider donuts and a mini-apple pie!

Popsicle!

The last few warm days of the year and poor Ashley is cutting a tooth and battling a cold, so I made her a popsicle from her apples and pears baby food. She ate about 3/4 of it and then decided to pull it off the stick and play with it!

First Steps!

Ashley took about 4 steps on her own today. However, she was in no mood to be recorded after that. Later on, she started to take a couple steps right before we were heading up for bed. She was tired and a bit crabby, but I caught it on video (she wanted to grab the camera)

Ashley is officially a toddling toddler!
