Where has the time gone?

I was going through videos that were on the camera and I had to watch them to give them a name. Somehow there were random videos here and there since February. I cannot believe how much Ashley has changed in the last 6 months! I ran across videos of her first trying peaches and she wasn't too thrilled with them and I just thought how she has been eating them for months! She even has tried actual peaches!

I also found a video of her babbling nonsense and now she says mama and dada when she hears or sees us!

I can't believe in 25 days until Ashley turns one...Here's a video from a couple weeks ago...She's such a character!

Picnic

For 32 years, my dad and his childhood friends gather at the same location on the same weekend and this year our family got to show off Ashley!

Pete and I were only able to stay a short time (we had another party to attend) but Ashley stayed with my parents/family. She was so tired from the day she fell asleep within minutes of being in the car. We have many more years to look forward to at the picnic. I remember as a kid having water balloon fights and I'm sure Ashley and the other kids will be doing that soon enough!

Zoo!

Ashley had her first trip to the zoo today. We went to the small local zoo, Cosley Zoo. It is free to enter and only a 20 minute drive. Ashley did NOT like the goats. She started crying when she saw them laying up against the fence! But she liked watching the ducks walk around and the horses were running around like crazy! I learned that foxes omit an odor similar to skunks to mark their territory. For such cute looking animals, they were smelly! It was also very cool to see one of the peacocks walk around with it's feathers out!

More teeth and New Foods!

Ashley spent a day with Grandma and Grandpa on Saturday and spiked a 101 fever! I knew what that meant...another tooth popping through! She now has two on the bottom and two on the top. None of them are not 100% through yet but she's putting them to use!

Ashley has been eating Adult Oatmeal and bits of toast in the morning (along with her yogurt that seems to be her favorite food). For lunch/dinner she has ditalini pasta and baby peas and cheerios along with some baby food. She sure loves to feed herself!

Pippen has learned to place herself at the table when she's in her highchair. Pippen is a great vacuum and pre-wash for the dishwasher!

Ashley loves to walk around holding on and pushing her cart and car in the basement (which is now her playroom). I have a feeling she'll be walking sooner than I want!

Ashley and I spent most of fathers day with my parents since Pete is also having teeth issues. He has his wisdom teeth out on Thursday and has not had an easy recovery. So, we decided to postpone his fathers day to a day that he can actually enjoy!

Summer!

More teeth! I guess when you don't get your first tooth until 9 months, they are in a rush to poke through. Ashley has two bottom teeth visible and today I felt a top tooth coming in!

The weather has been amazing here. Ashley has been playing in her baby pool and has even gone swimming in her big pool! She absolutely loves the water. She'll sit in her float and kick away or she wants you to hold her so she can splash with her hands.

The basement is a big play room now and Ashley just loves to play with all her toys. She has a couple toys to hold on and walk while pushing and she does just that. It's exciting to see her learn more and more every day.

I can't believe she's going to be 10 months old tomorrow!

Clapping!

Ashley's tooth is really coming in now and she's drooling up a storm! As painful as I hear it is, she seems to deal with the pain quite well.

She has been very interested in her fingers lately, waving them and such. Yesterday, she started clapping and now she does it all the time!

That's all for now!
