Life as I know it is over. Ashley got out of her crib after her nap! She was talking in there for about 15 minutes and all of a sudden I heard the door knob being rattled. I figured it was Pete as he tends to grab at it when he's on calls and will eventually open it. Then it hit me, OMG, it's Ashley. I ran up there and it was indeed her. She was just standing at the door and said "Hi".
I did hear a thump and she said uh oh, but that's normal, she usually throws things on the floor when she wakes up and they make a thud noise. A book, her cup, etc.
I'm still in shock she got out! I'm hoping she got out onto the rocking chair and then off the chair, but I think that thud means she climbed right to the floor! Yikes! Clearly she knew what she was doing since she she never cried.
I was just talking about this the other day, but figured we'd have a while until she would attempt to get out!
Now I have to figure out what to do next!

She can count!!!
I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it, Ashley just counted to ten!
We were listening to the toddler channel on Pandora and Billy Gorilly's Count to Ten song came on and it's all about counting to 10. When he went through 1-10, Ashley counted from 1-10 with the song!!
For the life of me I can't find the song online to play it again!

Splish Splash, Ashley's taking a bath!
So, Ashley's been in her baby/toddler bath tub as long as possible since it was so easy, but since she seems to have grown a lot in the last month, it was time to pack that tub away. She screamed and cried when I put her in the bath tub and she refused to sit down, it was quite funny (doesn't that make us bad parents?!?). She finally settled down and realized how nice it was to have a big bath tub to play in! While she was playing in the tub she also said a couple new words, water, bath and splash!

Our little talker!
She's got the facial featured down pretty well now and of course toes since she LOVES the song Head, shoulders, knees and toes (though she just does Head, toes)
I need to add that when I play this, Ashley laughs each time she hears herself burp and then says, Ewwww!

Slide!
Well, Ashley has gotten quite brave and now goes up in the playgrounds by herself and goes down the big slides on her own! When we get to the parks now, she says slide, slide, slide...and that is followed by weeeeeeeee!!!!!
