Christmas!

I'm not sure who was more excited about Christmas, Ashley or us!  She had more gifts that imaginable, and it took several rounds and assistance of gift opening to get through them all!  To open she had to rip small pieces off and hand them to someone (Steve seemed to be the person of choice).  Then she had to try each one out as she opened them so it took quite awhile to get through the piles.  Now that all her presents are home, we realized we'll have to move to fit everything in the house!!

 Ashley took a break from opening presents and decided to play with old ones, like Thomas the train!

Santa!

Ashley had no clue what she was in for, luckily, I got a quick picture and grabbed her and she was instantly happy.  Santa was a good sport and smiled for me :)  She'll learn to love Santa when she realizes he brings her presents!

Tiny Dancer

We realized that Ashley has a dance routine to the certain songs...so I recorded them, and she did almost the same dance when we repeated the song!  The first is from Olivia and the second is Ni Hao Kai Lan.  She doesn't really watch the shows, but she will stop what she is doing to dance to the music!

Real Words!

All the "talking" Ashley's been doing has finally turned into real words!  Today she pointed at my eyes, nose and mouth and said each one (and very clear too).  Of course, she wont do it on demand.  She says "tickle, tickle, tickle" like I say when I tickle her.  She also picked up on "uh oh" when Pete's parents were in town, though I think she was saying it for awhile now, I just never realize what she was saying.  She keeps saying more and more new words, but she doesn't seem to repeat them often enough for us to really catch what she's saying.

And while this isn't talking, she has learned to wave her arm when something is stinky (or just loud bodily functions).  I guess it's better than laughing at them, though, she still laughs :)  She has also learned dance routines to certain songs that she hears over and over again.  I will post those when I get to uploading videos!

Santa Claus, I mean, Grandparents are coming to town!

Pete's parents came for a long weekend to visit Ashley.  Last time they saw her, she was just a baby (at her 1st birthday).  Now, she's a walking and talking toddler!

Ashley had lots of fun playing and reading with her grammy and poppy.  They helped get the house ready for Christmas, setting up the tree and hanging ornaments, etc.  And, of course, they "helped" Ashley make her first snowman!  Also, while they were here, Ashley started a head bob (that resembles a bobble head)!  She now does it when music is playing.

Yesterday, Ashley went for her Christmas pictures.  She was a rockstar and survived 90 minutes of pictures!  She was in a great mood (with just a few meltdowns) and it helped that we had a wonderful photographer.
